Alexander Grinberg

As CEO and Founder of eWise, Alex is responsible for the company's global strategy, sales and operations. Alex has established eWise as an international provider of innovative payment services and solutions for the financial services industry. Alex is a lawyer with over 20 years experience in legal & management roles in the IT industry. Prior to founding eWise, Alex held a number of senior legal & operations roles with Oracle in Australasia & Europe. His experience also includes 8 years with IBM in various legal and management roles.

Michael Kontorovich

In his role as CTO, Mike has been instrumental in the design & development of all eWise software solutions. Mike has over 20 years expertise in software development & management, including his role as Managing Director of eTeam Software. Mike was also previously the Director of Engineering at Ardent Software (USA) and later Informix Software (USA), specialising in Internet Tools development. He holds an Honours Degree in Computer Science from University of NSW.

Roger has over 30 years experience in creating and growing businesses in the IT & Telecommunications industries around the world. As Chairman of Allen & Buckeridge (A&B) and Director of several of its portfolio companies, Roger has experience in commercializing and globalizing R&D and innovative ideas by growing businesses. Apart from A&B, he also has a significant personal investment group of companies that invests in early stage venture capital. In 1990, Roger was appointed as Deputy Chairman of the Australian Trade Commission (AUSTRADE) for 7 years. Roger has degrees in Fine Arts and Philosophy from Melbourne University.

Richard Brierley-Jones

As Executive Vice President of eWise, Richard established US operations for eWise, and has created strong relationships with key industry stakeholders and built a team to support the development and launch of the Secure Vault Payments network in the US. Richard has also been instrumental in bringing together the ICPNO (International Council of Payment Network Operators) members, working together to establish payment network interoperability. Prior to this Richard was responsible for establishing the eWise office in the UK where he launched the first European Account Aggregation service, opening key accounts with major UK financial institutions.

David is a lawyer and accredited mediator with over 25 years experience as General Counsel for IBM working in Australia, London, New York & Tokyo. He then became a full time Commissioner with the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission. David also worked as Special Counsel at leading law firm Blake Dawson Waldron, and now has his own practice specializing in competition law, mediation and government relations. David has an association with a European Public Affairs group that specializes in competition law matters and is active in a number of professional affairs bodies.

Dharmash Mistry

As a Partner of Balderton Capital, Dharmash joined the eWise Board following Balderton Capital's investment in eWise. Balderton Capital is one of the largest venture groups in Europe with circa $2bn under management and seven Partners. The portfolio of over 50 companies includes: Bebo, MySql, Betfair, Lovefilm, Big Fish, Yoox and eWise. Prior to joining Balderton, Dharmash spent 15 years acquiring and developing businesses globally in the media, retail and consumer goods sectors. Most recently, he was part of the management team that successfully sold Emap's consumer magazine business to H. Bauer for £1.1bn. He spent eight years at Emap, where he held a range of executive roles, including Managing Director of Emap Consumer Media and Emap Performance. Prior to Emap, Dharmash was at The Boston Consulting Group, where he advised clients across a range of industries in Europe, China, Japan and USA. He started his career as a Brand Manager at Procter & Gamble, running FMCG Brands in the UK and across Western Europe. He currently serves on the OFCOM advisory committee for England. Dharmash holds a MEng and BA in Engineering, Economics and Management from Oxford University.

Peter has over 40 years international IT industry expertise including operations, sales & marketing, and identifying, growing and maximizing business opportunities for emerging technologies. During Peter's career with IBM he ran IBM Korea, IBM Latin America, IBM's Global Partnerships as well as having responsibility for IBM's sales and marketing to large, mid-market and small to medium customers globally. As a member of IBM World Management council for over 8 years Peter demonstrated vision, strategic excellence and operational results at the highest levels. Peter holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of New South Wales.

Dean Seifert
Senior Vice President of Sales |
Dean brings nearly 20 years of payments industry experience to the role of Senior Vice President of Sales where he is responsible for leading the sales team supporting the launch of the Secure Vault Payments network in the US. Prior to joining eWise, Dean served as the Group Executive for Sales, Client Relations and Marketing at TSYS. Previous senior payments industry roles include with Western Union Financial Services as the General Manager and Vice President of Western Union Global Business Payments, after the role of Vice President for Product Development at First Data Corporation. Dean’s experience ranges from merchant acquiring and alternative payment systems, to global consumer remittance, commercial and prepaid payments.

W. Thomas Smith Jr.

Tom is a founder and Managing Partner of Total Technology Ventures. He retired from IBM in 2000 after 30 years of service. From 1996 to his retirement, Tom served as Vice President, Small and Medium Business, IBM Americas. Prior to that, he was the Southern Area General Manager appointed in 1986, with responsibility for IBM's sales, marketing, and services business for thirteen southeastern states in USA. He received the Armin Maier citizenship award from the Atlanta Downtown Rotary Club in 1998. Tom earned a B. S. Degree in industrial management from The Georgia Institute of Technology in 1969 and completed the executive program at Dartmouth's Amos Tuck School of Business in 1986.

Neil has over 25 years industry experience working as a senior executive with some of the world's leading IT companies. Neil has held executive and director roles at Omniture, Siebel, Vignette and Oracle - where he was responsible for expanding operations and achieving unprecedented license revenue growth. Neil studied Geology at the Australian National University in Canberra and is a member of the Institute of Directors in the UK.
